Hello Northwood High School Seniors!  Welcome back! Class of 2020 visionaries, it is time for you to take charge and make your voice heard!  You can make this year the best ever at Northwood High School and help mold the future as a officer in the Student Council Association. To answer the call, click here to complete your application.  

SCA President
Lead all meetings
Give assistance, guidance, and praise
Act as a facilitator during discussion
Maintain frequent contact with faculty and administration
Work with adviser on all planning
Participate in student council sponsored activities/events


SCA Vice President
Work closely with President

Assume President’s duties when needed
Assist the President in preparing meeting agendas
Participate in student council sponsored activities/events

 


SCA Treasurer/Secretary
Oversee revenue, resources

Maintain an accurate and detailed financial record
Keep an account of minutes at every meeting
Keep an accurate account of attendance at every meeting

 


SCA Public Relations Director
Keep student body informed of events, fundraisers, and service projects
Update information of student activities on the school website, Panthertrail.com

Obtain approval for events
Maintain contact information for people who work with the council

 


Students running for office must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and must have had no disciplinary actions taken against them due to absences or school rule violations. 

As part of Northwood High School’s SCA elections, each candidate will make a brief speeche to introduce himself or herself to the student body, point out what he or she believes makes NHS a good place to be, and give ideas about what he or she feels could make it even better. Speeches must be approximately 2-3 minutes and be approved by administration.
